The RES Forum released its latest quarterly report focused on global mobility in the age of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA). The report explores how AI and RPA are currently being utilized in the industry, and how they will continue to evolve over the next several years.
Featuring results from a survey of 27 global mobility professionals at companies around the world in a variety of industries, the report offers insight into what areas organizations are using these technologies, from recruitment and onboarding to employee satisfaction, as well as identifies the barriers around implementing these technologies, such as financial value and doubts around data integrity.
In full, the report dives deeper into how these technological advancements are perceived in the industry, with some expressing doubts and fears due to a lack of understanding. The overall takeaway is that AI and RPA can help global mobility professionals focus on strategy and development if implemented correctly. While technology can be used to automate mundane routine tasks, it does not replace the human element of global mobility. Because each organization has unique needs, businesses must balance technology with human interaction to have the most effective mobility program possible.
