At Lexicon, we're seriously going green. Our company-wide effort to become more energy-efficient and reduce our carbon footprint is not only good for the earth, but when you go green, you save money.
Office Recycling
- Electronic document storage system - print only when necessary
- Proper recycling of electronic equipment
- Recycling of all office paper products
- Recycling bins for plastic, glass and aluminum cans - all facilities, all floors
- Re-usable plastic totes and bins instead of cardboard cartons
- Recycling used cardboard cartons when in use
- Use of recycled toner cartridges
- Usage of electronic funds transfers for accounting/billing/invoicing purposes
Building Maintenance and Administration
- Company-wide use of electronic fax and signature program
- Proper disposal or re-distribution of chemicals and hazardous materials
- All unused lights are turned off every day
- "Green" cleaning products employed by janitorial staff
- Energy efficient lighting
- Eliminated purchase of plastic forks, spoons and cups for facility
- Thermostats set for maximum efficiency daily, including weekends
